The proposal was on a Saturday. It was supposed to be on a Sunday, faceted into his friend's birthday, but I ended up finding out about the surprise, so the surprise wasn’t a surprise anymore. So, on that Saturday, we had a meeting in Columbus. And on our way, I saw a text from my mum pop up on his phone, asking what time she was supposed to be there. It gave the surprise away, but I pretended to be unaware because he had put a lot of effort into it. As I entered the scene, my mum and a couple of our mutual friends were there with a beautiful and serene proposal decor. He got down on one knee and asked THE question, "Will you marry me?" while holding the ring in its box in his hand, and I replied, "YES!" It became so real that yes, I’m about to be his wife. I said yes to a lifelong journey with the most resilient and amazing man I’ve ever met. They say covenants are strengthened by adversities.
